Welcome to Golf Club Varese

Great sports tradition in an extraordinary natural environment: this is the Golf Club Varese. A technical course and a historic clubhouse, among ancient trees and striking views of the Lakes and Mt. Rose. Located at the foothills of the Pre-Alps in a strategic position between Milan and Switzerland, Golf Club Varese is open year-round.

Golf Club Varese: a combination of History and Nature

The Golf Club Varese, founded in 1897, settled at its current location in Luvinate in 1934.

The Golf Club Varese’s Club House is an ancient Convent, an example of Romanesque-Lombard architecture, built in the 12th century by the “Magistri Comancini” who housed Benedictine nuns until the 15th century when St. Charles Borromeo decreed its closure.

The Cloister: frescoes and enchanting views

The building features the magnificent cloister of the recently restored church. At the entrance to the room where the award ceremonies are held today, frescoes probably dating back to the 1500s can be seen. From the terrace there is a magnificent view of Hole 1 and Lake Varese.

The Pathway

Our journey described by Alberto Binaghi: coach and technical manager of the National Amateur Teams; coach of Matteo Manassero.

“Varese can only be called an old field because of its date of birth; otherwise I believe it is a course still capable of hosting major events.”
